I am soooo happy and blessed that we reached 1,000 followers
on the Instagram account! Thank you so much for your support and kind words
about my work, it means so much to me. I am so excited to see what’s next to
come and as always, I have another DIY for you guys! I did 1K to celebrate my
Instagram followers but you can always do it for a birthday or even spell out a
word. I tried to make them huge like those letter/number balloons but I didn’t
have enough stuffing so this is a smaller version! This is so much better than
the balloons because they will last forever!
Ps... I've also been testing out some lighting so bare with me if you notice that some photos are lighter/darker than others! <3
Supplies:
Satin fabric
Stuffing
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Pen
Directions:
1. Draw the letter or number you will be creating onto the
satin fabric. Try to use a fine pen to prevent the ink from leaking on the
fabric.
2. Cut the outline from the fabric. Try to cut out the pen
marks and if you didn’t cut it out it’s okay! It will be hidden in the next
step.
3. Face the two shiny sides towards each other. You should
be looking at the duller side of the fabric. Take your hot glue gun and slowly
glue ONLY on the outline of the number/letter. DON’T FORGET TO LEAVE A SMALL
OPENING TO STUFF.
4. After the glue has dried, use the small opening that you left to flip out the shiny side.
5. Fill the number/letter with stuffing from the small
opening. Use a chopstick to get into the further ends.
6. Once stuffed completely, you want to close that small
opening. So take some hot glue and seal it together. I had to trim off my ends
since they were sticking out and that’s it!
