DIY Tassel Pillow

This DIY did take some time but it was totally worth it. The tassels are so bright and colorful I just keep shaking my pillow around because it's so darn cute! Maybe a blanket version of this DIY will be coming soon, I am obsessed, someone help me. I also posted on Instagram my little story of purchasing all the colorful embroidery floss so don't forget to follow me for funny behind the scenes.

Lots of embroidery floss
Embroidery needle

1. Take off the wrapper for the embroidery floss and cut two strips (double the length of the floss)
2. Take one of the strips and tie a knot in the middle of the embroidery floss to hold it together. Don’t forget to leave the ends hanging! You will notice it’s starting to look a lot more like a tassel when you hold the ends together.
3. Take the second strip and tie it on the upper part of the tassel, tie a knot, and cut off the ends.
4. Hold the two ends of the tassel together and trim off the bottom.
5. Take the ends from part 2, thread it into your embroidery needle, and sew into the edge of the pillow.
6. Pull the floss through the pillow, knot it securely, and cut off the excess thread.
7. Repeat these steps until your pillow is surrounded by colorful tassels!

  1. This is super Q (cute) I love it
