DIY Shrinky Dink Pins

I love enamel pins but they are just too pricey! This is a cheaper alternative to creating one of those pins you absolutely adore. As you can see, I have placed a few of my pins onto my backpack and I can’t wait to put them on a jean jacket and other accessories. The best part is that you can make as many as you want without breaking the bank!! Can we also talk about the pink background I used for my pins?! My office area is cluttering with DIY supplies I really need to set up a studio in the near future.

Supplies:
Shrinky Dink paper
Paint markers or Sharpies
Tie tacks
Super glue or hot glue
Scissors
Oven or mini oven

Directions:
1. Choose a few designs online. You can trace it directly from your computer screen or print it out to trace! You can also freehand any design you want.
2. After drawing and coloring, cut out your shapes. Be careful for small edges that you have to cut. If you are too forceful the shrinky dink paper can tear into your design.
3. Preheat oven or mini oven to 350 degrees. Place your cut outs onto a sheet of foil or cookie sheet and let them bake for 1-3 minutes (depending how big or small your design is)
4. Within a minute or two, you should see your cut outs curl. DO NOT FREAK OUT THIS IS NORMAL. Let it sit in the oven until it flattens and when they do, leave it for another 30 seconds to harden.
5. Take them out of the oven to cool. Once they cool, take your super glue or hot glue gun and attach a tie tack to one of your designs.
